The hotel offers a mixed experience with top-notch views over the village and harbor from the basic but clean rooms. While the cleanliness and presentation are impressive, the need for a full renovation is evident. On the upside, the provided tea and coffee facilities are a nice touch, but the lack of entertainment could deter guests from staying in during dark autumn nights.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of great views and cozy comforts. The room had some issues with paint flaking from the ceiling but overall was comfortable. The service was sweet with a welcome drink, and pet amenities were a nice touch. The location was stunning with beautiful views, yet could use some sprucing up. The dining experience offered a variety of tasty options for breakfast. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor drawbacks.
Rooms

The room I stayed in had paint flaking off the ceiling for 3 nights, and it was a bit small with a low ceiling at the side of the bed. However, the bed itself was very comfortable.

The service was lovely, and I was welcomed with a drink. It was nice to see pet amenities available, showing they care about furry guests too.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was lovely and clean, with a super sea view, and the staff - including the bar staff, reception, and manager - were all lovely and friendly, making me feel very welcome. However, the room sold as a superior double was certainly nothing superior about it; it was larger than the norm, but the water pressure was poor, there was no telephone, and getting the bedside lamps to function was a mensa challenge that I failed at!

The room was lovely and clean with a super sea view, but the superior double was disappointing with poor water pressure and lamp challenges.
Service
9.0
The service was top-notch, and I appreciated the warm welcome drink offered upon arrival. Additionally, pet amenities were available, which was a nice touch.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perched on a hilltop overlooking the small bay town of Port Patrick, offering superb views of the entire area. However, the only downside was the limited wifi reception down in the village.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast provided was ample, offering cereal, yogurt, and a full breakfast. However, it was not as good as it used to be, and I had to send my cooked egg back as it looked like it had been prepared hours earlier.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had adequate facilities, but there is room for improvement in maintaining the dining experience up to standard.

My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The room had everything I needed but was freezing due to a draft from the metal windows, and the dining service was the worst I've ever experienced at a Shearings hotel. On the bright side, the location was a real gem with a green, peaceful ambiance, but it lacked a bit of liveliness. The hotel facilities were basic but sufficient.
Rooms
5.0
The room was very dated and in need of upgrading, but it had everything I needed.
Service
5.0
The service was lackluster, with long waiting times for meals, despite the welcome drink and pet amenities available.
Location

The hotel's location was a revelation, perched on top of a cliff with stunning views and plenty to explore in the surrounding area.
Dining

The dining experience was subpar, with a side room setup and slow service. I opted to avoid the food due to hygiene concerns.
